2018 Perga Year Opening Program Is Held
In Perga ancient city, ‘2018 Perga Year’ opening program was held on 10 May 2018. Antalya Governor Munir Karaloglu, who participated in the program which also included the ‘Hello Summer’ event, via video conference from Gaziantep where he went to take part in Election Region Security Meeting stated that they had a ‘magnificent start’ to year 2018 in tourism.
Karaoglu who stated that last year’s numbers are outnumbered by 45 percent, told that tourism is going better and better, and as long as this continues the goal will be attained. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Menderes Turel emphasized that the fact that every year one ancient value will be coming to the forefront, carries great importance in terms of world city Antalya’s publicity.
Our president A. Zeki Apalı, who participated in the program, congratulated Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Officials and Mediterranean Touristic Hotel Owners and Managers Association (AKTOB) who has held a successful organization for ‘2018 Perga Year’ which had been announced within bringing one ancient value each year project special to Antalya province. Participants of the program also included Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Ibrahim Acar, TURSAB Board Member Nezih Hacisalihoglu, dear tourism journalists who came from Istanbul, Yilmaz Keles and Savas Das.

The exhibition, which was opened to view on 15-22 April, Tourism Week at Cumhuriyet Square and which received great attention, will be able to be seen at the ancient city for three days.
