Şanliurfa - Mardin Culture And Tourism Workshop Organized

A workshop was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on April 13, 2018 in Şanlıurfa to mobilize tourism potential in the southeastern provinces. The opening ceremony of the workshop was held with attendance of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba, Şanlıurfa Governor Abdullah Erin, Sanliurfa Deputies Mehmet Akyürek and Halil Özcan, Metropolitan Mayor Nihat Çiftçi, Our President on behalf of our Union A. Zeki Apalı, the participation of representatives of public and non-governmental organizations on culture and tourism.

In his speech, Culture and Tourism Minister Numan Kurtulmuş expressed that the names of the Southeastern provinces are not mentioned with terror anymore but in an intensive effort to be remembered with their tourism potentials, ancient civilizations, and unique cultural and historical heritage.

Minister Numan Kurtulmuş said that in order to increase the share of tourism of Şanlıurfa and Mardin provinces, in the workshops on the development of both culture and tourism potentials will be planned which will be held on the eve of tourism week and said that a roadmap for planning tourism of the region will be determined.
